Greenbriar Burnout Tissue Knit
Deep rich warm toned olive burnout tissue knit. Appealingly soft, lightweight rayon/lycra burnout jersey knit is opaque in areas and semi-sheer in the burnout areas. Lovely drape, feels like a light cotton. Perfect for a T-shirt. This is a fabric to use double if you want more coverage...make the body of the T double, and the sleeve a single layer. Perfect weight for right now, and makes a great layering piece when the weather cools down. To see how easy it is to sew a double layer knit, click on TUTORIALS on the navigation bar of this website and go to page 4.

Tissue knits: semi sheer, drapey fine gauge jerseys are all over ready to wear this season. I was in California recently where I saw these same fabrics used in $300 tops and t-shirts. (at Wendy Foster in Montecito). Also make great lightweight leggings. Beautiful drape and hand.
