Ariel Black Linen Black mid weight linen of a beautiful classic old-school quality from a Southern California design studio. The right weight for a jacket, coat, shirt/jacket or tailored pant/skirt/dress. Smooth hand, rich saturated black, subtle linen sheen.
To keep the original crispness, dry clean (though I never do this myself). Or, pre treat by hand or machine wash gentle. Air dry while the fabric is nearly sopping. I would not put this in the dryer unless you want a softer faded black, overall wrinkles and to eliminate the typical linen sheen. If you pre-treat the fabric this way, after sewing, hand launder and hang the garment up VERY wet. I sometimes put a linen garment into the shower after laundering so it gets good and wet, then hang on a hanger and 'groom' it, smoothing the seams and edges, and often after this treatment it needs no ironing at all.
