Divine Purple Silk
Silk prices have shot through the roof in recent months so I'm choosing with care. Midtextured silk shantung/dupioni in a 'shot' (cross weave) silk, that is a magenta weft shot/woven with deep purple, so the color is predominantly purple but with whispers of a paler shade. Is silky more than cottony --- some dupioni's are more like cotton. Good drape, silky hand. I sometimes toss these kinds of silks in the washer/drier to get an overall wrinkle and kick back the silky effect, but always test a piece first.
