Tone on Tone T-Shirt Using Japanese Tea Garden Silk Screens

Subtle and elegant overall screening in a tone-on-tone color. The oatmeal knit comes to life with silk screening using just pearl white paint. On this garment, I cut out the garment pieces and did the silk screening while before sewing the garment, very easy while everything is flat, AND it is fun to plot out the design with the pieces placed next to each other. The screens are laid onto the pieces on a diagonal. I start with the large screens and fill in the empty spots with smaller screens. Once all the paint is applied, I add a bit of metallic foil.....sometimes adding this final step after the garment is finished. On this t-shirt I used the new silver hologram foil which has an antique look---not too shiny.
