Using the Chartres Labyrinth Screen - In Process

A work in process showing the Chartres Labyrinth screen in the large size. I used Dye Discharge, and notice that the screen strike is not perfect. One of the things I love about using silk screens is the imperfections that are inevitable and the add character to a piece. Sometimes I'll use the imperfection to lead to adding another layer, another color or a bit of foiling. This labyrinth image is compelling, many textile artists are drawn to the image and the deeper meaning of the labyrinth.

Note how I am working with the pieces of stripes and dots, piecing them into the slash in the garment.
