Black and white polka dot light weight double knit has a lightly puckered surface and has an airy quality that is just right for summer. Stable, no rolling at the cut edge, so it will be easy to sew, no cling so it will be easy to wear too. The weight is right for many different garments: Tops, T-shirts, tunic, dress, skirt, even lightweight little pants.

Quick and easy to make, I sometimes change the collar band, lowering the front neck edge and replacing the shaped neck band pattern pieces included in the pattern with a plain t-shirt band. Ive even made this as a cardigan. Or an early and classic Marcy T-shirt has a flattering all in one sleeve and includes a good short sleeved T-shirt too.
