Totally practical for everyday and travel. Across the body bag in a size to carry the basics. Two bags with zippers and pockets clip together so you can carry both or one. I made versions in asian silk brocades, hemp and upholstery fabric. |

Puyallup Sewing Expo Fashion Show
Sandra Betzina and I did a fashion show together at the sewing expo. Here are some of the outfits I put together with the invaluable design and sewing assistance of my sister, Nandini/Katherine Tilton. Our machines were smoking for the weeks before the show. And what fun to play with Sandra and have the chance to see her wonderful patterns.
Here you can see some examples of putting the pieces together with different looks for a variety of lifestyles and occasions. |

Weekend Wardrobe
The T-shirt is a rendition of V8497 in our cotton double weave black and white dotted knit---which is black on one side cool polka dots on the other, and a soft cuddly fabric. The pants are Marcy's new Vogue 8561 in our Dorado Denim, which gets super soft when washed. I was playing around and made circular dots inset into the fabric.....it is easy, and watch for how-to instructions soon in the Tutorials category on this website. |
|
| | | I changed the line of the seaming on the front pattern piece, keeping the original neckline size and shape. I added the cuffs (intentionally NOT the same size), during sewing. The front seam is sewn to to the outside, trimmed to 3/8" and topstitched down the center of the seam with a long wide zig-zag. I used a commercial elasticized tulle ruffle at the neck. The shape of the t-shirt pairs well with the shape of the pant. A comfortable chic and casual look. |
