The holiday season crept up on me, but I’ve kicked into gear, decked the halls and hit the studio to whip up some quick to make girlfriend gifts (texting gloves this year) and invent a warm winter sweater. Practical for everyday, this lightweight beautiful design is essential for travel (I can fit my laptop in the larger size). The company has been producing the microfiber backpack handbags for 20 years. It is a Parisian classic---especially noteworthy in a fashion period where handbags tend toward being elaborate, fussy and overdone. |

Dosa
I've been a fan of this clothing line from their start up days in a tiny shop on Union Street in San Francisco. Now a large successful company based in LA, the designer works with artisans and craftspeople in India, using traditional techniques and fabrics with her own interpretations and designs. The results are always beautiful. The website is beautiful too. They used her studio for some of the scenes in the film, Friends With Money. Good design triumphs here, I am a fan. |
